Just passing through so overnight stay at Caroline Bay Free Camping. I haven't mentioned before but it can be noisy here,
the Port is our neighbour so the busier they are the more noise. We haven't found it a problem the last two times the Port has been relatively quiet at night.
The dump station is in the same car park but the clearance might be an issue for long overhangs.
Been meaning to call in here and finally got around to it.
It's peaceful and pretty here, and we would love to stay longer.

We stopped at the farm for a couple of nights to visit family, and then the next stop was Dunedin.

Stayed at the nzmca park in Dunedin for a couple of nights, and revisited the museum to do the butterfly house that we missed last time.

It was a cold day but steaming in there, it was the school holidays and the little kids were loving the butterflies.
There is a butterfly house on the North Island near the Airport in Auckland that is worth a visit.

It was lunchtime so we went to the cafe and then afterwards had a look at the Rododendrens that had just started to flower, they needed another couple of weeks to look their best.

Took a drive to visit the Triflor NZ Tulips, the tulips bloom when we are in Christchurch for the services on the motorhome each year which is why it is difficult to be in the right place at the right time. This year we have decided not to go back to the North Island to visit family for Christmas and do the things we have missed out on, tulips fields were on the list.

There is a Tulip Day but no open tulip fields this year. The tulip fields can be viewed from the road as I have done, just not as good for taking photos.
We are moving to Invercargill so will visit again as a lot of the tulips were still to come out.
If you think the tulip fields are all on the same road you would be disappointed, they are spread out over the area but easy to find around Triflor NZ in Edendale.
