Starting from Taumarunui we absolutely loved this trip.

Start of the gravel
16km of sealed good road but narrow so take care in a Motorhome.
Nice 20 minute walk through farm and bush.
There are 2 other falls one was a 7-hour hike but the track was closed (oh darn) the other was from memory about 1 & 1/2 hours but we were too late in the day to do this one.
Damper Falls
Where we stayed for the night $20 nonpower at the camp with showers included no washing machine but I was too buggered to do any washing anyway.
Went to dinner at the Whangamomona Hotel great food!! we had lamb shanks with stir fry veggies cooked just right and sticky date pudding what a treat.

Whangamomona to Stratford
We left this morning from the camp at Whangamomona we enjoyed our overnight stay here.
Very tight driving this side we even scraped the skid bar on the road on a tight corner but made it over the Bailey bridge without scrape holding our breath and taking it super slow.
Coming into Stratford we only got a peep of the Mountain through the cloud.
