We decided we better turn around looking at the roadway over there
Roxburgh to Lawrence Frog went for a bike ride on the cycle track, then I picked him up in Lawrence and we had a nice lunch in the cafe.
Too hot for me out there, home for a swim.
Frogs ride
Tapanui
We stayed at Whisky Gully Domain Reserve so we could do the walk the next day.
We had our first lot of rain since I can't remember how long, we so needed it to try and cool the air enough to hike, it has been 30 degrees most days.
Wifi ok
Camped by the gate
Whiskey Gully Track
We walked through beautiful native bush to the waterfall after checking out the lookout on a side track. We encountered some steep inclines and slippery rocks with undergrowth and twisted tree roots. I was pleased to have strong boots and hiking sticks, most of the overgrowth was ferns that made my arm sting for a day.
Still a bit foggy from last night's rain
This was to the lookout and waterfall return
