Roxburgh
We arrived in Roxburgh to a burst of Autumn Colours. Paid for 4 nights to kick off with at the Trotting Club great value $3pp plus an extra $5 per night for power, deciding $11 a night with power great value for us.
Just 3.5kms from town and the cycle trail time to get the bikes out.
Staying 4 nights
Sunrise by Frog I was still in bed it was freezing
Started chilly this morning but didn't take long to get hot riding the Clutha Gold Trail to the Dam. Then over the Dam to ride Roxburgh Gorge Trail to Shingle Creek and return, all up from the Trotting Club 50kms return.
Enjoyable ride with the Roxburgh Gorge Trail surpassing itself with amazing scenery and challenging hills.
I was stuffed by the time we got home we didn't eat along the ride and there was a drying wind that burnt the inside of my nose and throat, any suggestions to stop the windburn will be well received.
We went to the dam and beyound

We were welcomed to Alexandra with rain this afternoon so nice to have a rest. Staying at Molyneux Park, 3 nights of free camping right in town.
If it's raining tomorrow might try out the Aquatic complex next door.

Woke up to rain this morning, by the time we had breakfast the sun was out.
We had a lovely ride doing the last section of the Roxburgh Gorge Trail from Alexandra, admiring the stunning landscapes along the river.

Thought we would do a hike before moving onto our next camp midway between Clyde and Cromwell.
There are options on how far to hike I found it hard going as a lot was steep but so worth it!!
Rock heaven, a true wonderland.

Kawarau Gorge
We have stayed 3 nights here, yesterday visited Queenstown shops.
Today we did the Gibbston River Trail 20kms return. After lunch, we walked up the gravel road behind us and managed to have every man and his dog pass us in their cars kicking up the dust. The views are far and wide so worth it.
