Lake Wanaka and Hawea
The superb drive today with great views, booking in at Camp-Lake Hawea Tonight’s park.
This afternoon we went for a ride with Robin and Jacque, the first time they got stuck

Hawea/Wanaka
Had a good day on the bikes, after lunch, we moved to Wanaka staying 2 nights.

Hawea River Trail, these guys were having a great time.

Wanaka
That Wanaka Tree
No leaves and blowing a gale

Wanaka
Went for a ride this morning on the bikes to a lookout around the lake.

Lake Dunstan
Lowburn Harbour free camping tonight beside the lake.

Cromwell
A beautiful day for a ride on the bikes into Cromwell, then out the other way along the trail.

Queenstown
Made the trip from Cromwell through the Kawarau Gorge this morning, having lunch at AJ Hackett Bungee Jump then after at our camp for a 3-night stay in Queenstown.

We watched this brave lady do a jump on the AJ Hackett Bungee Jump at the Kawarau Gorge, just watching was enough to put my heart racing.

Queenstown
We enjoyed a trip up the skyline lift this afternoon, with awesome views.

Kiwi House and bird sanctuary
No photos of the Kiwi because understandably we aren’t allowed to take photos in their darkened house, but we had good views of the Kiwi feeding.
We enjoy visiting the Kiwi houses and knowing every little bit helps the breeding programs.
Some of the other birds are rescue birds that have been injured.
Back at camp plenty of Motorhomes in tonight mostly hired.

Queenstown
Trip out today on the TSS Earnslaw

Kawarau Bridge Historic Reserve
We are leaving Queenstown this morning, we got our windscreen repaired then headed out of town via Arrowtown. We wanted to do the Shotover Jet Boat but it’s closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
We had a look around Arrowtown, it was cold and showers so weren’t feeling the love and headed to Kawarau bridge for a free stop for the night.
From here the plan is a slow trip over to Christchurch our first service is due at the beginning of October with the COF and registration.
Hopefully once all that is sorted we can come back here to carry on where we left off.

Bendigo
North 14kms from Cromwell on Tarras-Cromwell Rd is tonight’s park.
There is a 2-hour walk across the road that we will do in the morning. It’s been hot today so different from yesterday.
We stayed on the other side of the Lake on the way to Queenstown, such beautiful scenery

Otago
The drive over to Cromwell was spectacular today.
