Arrived in Picton to wet weather tonights stay Crow Tavern Picton free parking and we get to have Pub grub 
Whatamango Bay
We had lunch with our son Phil in Picton before he took the ferry back to Wellington.
Tonight’s stay is Whatamango Bay Doc Campsite free with our NCMCA Doc Pass.
The narrow sealed road just 13km from Picton, we turned around just past the gate to make for a wider entrance.
We stopped at the lookout for a few snaps, moody looking weather but no rain yet.

Back in Picton did the Tirohanga Track walk to the hilltop lookout, track was wet and muddy but worth the effort. I guess we only got 50% of the view with the low cloud.

Rained all last night stopping in time for a walk at Cullen Point Look Out.

We have woken to the sun shining so will venture on further up to French Pass.
Looking at the map there is 12km of unsealed road so going to have a very mucky MH.

Went for a walk with Murray and Raewyn that are temporarily looking after the camp, we collected some lovely big mussels.

We left this morning (no wind) over the hills calling into Elaine Bay to have a look at the Doc camp. We would have loved to stay the night but we need to get supplies so carried on to Nelson.

From French Pass to Nelson staying the night at Mitre10 Car park Nelson (free parking) had a good night here.

We walked from the Gardens to the track going up to the lookout (another vertical walk)
