We moved 30 km up the road to Turangawaewae Pop and enjoyed a couple of days of fine weather before it all turned to crap with bad head colds.
Out of the 16 days we were here most of it rained so we decided to go onto power and sit it out. The temperature felt tropical and it was like living in a rainforest with everything damp even when it stopped raining the mist from the sea spray was there.
Even with the rain we still enjoyed our time here and the puppies loved it.
The beach is deserted most days and the scenery is amazing, rugged west coast.
Our POP hosts were lovely checking in to ask if we needed anything.
