Oh my gosh, we feel like we are in another country.
We had a fabulous trip over on the Interislander, then scarpered out of
Wellington over the Rimutaka Range
to Lake Wairarapa for the night (free camping)
We haven't been here before so interesting with heaps of room and a nice
view.
Masterton
We are having a few nights at Henley Lake.
What a fantastic location, free camping with free hot showers,
beautiful views, and birds galore all within a short walk to the main
shopping centre.
Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre
It took a couple of hours with lunch.
It's very difficult to get photos through the aviary, so here is a
link to the birds we viewed.
Loved the kōkako, its first time we have seen this special bird
Mangatainoka River Reserve
Located directly across the road from the famous Tui Brewery.
(Free parking) last night's staying.

Te Paerahi Beach
We took a side step out to Te Paerahi Beach (free camping) to catch up with Jacque & Robin. This morning they went fishing with their new drone.

Glenfalls Doc Campsite
We had the pleasure of catching up with Robert's cousins Wayne & Gary in Napier. Gary drove over from Gisborne to meet us, after roughly 20 years since we last saw each other it was good to connect again.

Nice camp beside the river with plenty of room to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Taupo
Oh, my goodness some days just aren't as good as the last, that's life. Happily cruising along to our next camp in Taupo, then oh no we hit a pothole in the road. Oh no!! The wing mirror came loose hit the motorhome (another dent) then fell off smashing the mirror. We walked back to recover the mirror.
We stopped to look at Waipunga falls lookout, stunning!
Tonight's stay Whakaipo Bay Doc Camp.

We are back on the farm parked up on the old horse arena out of the way, we can't get the motorhome up the drive to the house.
Frog is helping Kylie with the farm she has 7 weeks to go now with her pregnancy.
I'm helping out with the house and grandson where I can, so we won't be travelling for a while.
We will be back sometime in the new year until then keep safe everyone and have a great holiday season.
