Dunedin
We had a lovely day in Dunedin staying at NZMCA. We took a walk into town to look at the Railway Station, last time we were here it was having work done on it. Can recommend having a look at the art gallery loved some of the art in there.
On the way home, we looked through some shops and purchased some possum/mohair gloves and jumpers.

Signal Hill
Today's activity with a cold day, high winds and late rain forecast, we dressed for the 11km return hike through the suburbs from the NZMCA camp. Once we started the climb it was a good workout with a wild wind at the top. Rewarded with a wide view of Dunedin making it a worthwhile hike. There is plenty of parking up there if you prefer to drive, but a very narrow steep road to get there for a motorhome.

Ross Creek Reservoir
There is a lovely bushwalk out the back of the NZMCA camp that takes several directions the main one to the reservoir.
We ended up walking 8km before heading back to camp.

Port Chalmers
Beautiful day for a drive. First stop Port Chalmers up the lookout, where we had a look around the Hotere Garden Oputae and the view out over the Port.

Then onto Aramoana Beach where we walked out on the Mole Sea Wall and saw a diving school, a seal, and sea birds. At the end of the wall, we looked across to the Royal Albatross nesting site and Taiaroa Lighthouse.

After lunch, our final stop for the day was over a narrow road to Orokonui Ecosanctuary for a walk. Tonight back at NZMCA Camp.

Nicols Water Fall
From NZMCA camp 8km return walk, with a steep 20-minute walk to the falls from the start of the track.

Royal Albatross Centre
Stunning day, with no wind and the harbour, looked like a millpond as we drove out to see the Albatross chicks. It's been 4 months since we saw them last shortly after they had hatched.
Weighing in at 8 kilograms they are doing well, with both parents out gathering food now.

Tunnel Beach
Can recommend this one for an inspiring view.
2.1 kms return, need to be reasonably fit because it's steep going both ways.
There is a sign asking people to please keep on the track as Doc is trying to grow ground covering plants. Some people need to read the signs or stop being ignorant and arrogant.

Mosgiel
Tonight Taieri A&P Society, Mosgiel $15 on power, also toilets, showers, and laundry available.
